It's emerged former England footballer Raheem Sterling was at home with his family when intruders broke into his property in Berkshire.
The break-in happened at around 6.30pm on Saturday.
The intruders were disturbed and fled the scene before taking anything.
A representative for the Chelsea player confirmed the break-in, stating: "We can confirm that Raheem Sterling was the victim of a home break-in this weekend.
"We can also confirm that he and his children were present at home at the time. Whilst the ultimate violation of privacy and safety, we are thankful to be able to confirm that he and his loved ones are all safe.
"We ask that the privacy of Raheem and his loved ones be respected at this challenging time."
This latest attempt comes after similar incidents in the footballer's past.
In December 2022, while Sterling was in Qatar with the England World Cup team, his Surrey residence was burgled.
That incident, which occurred on 3rd December in Oxshott, Leatherhead, saw jewellery and watches worth a reported £300,000 stolen.
Sterling returned home from the tournament to support his family, missing England's 3-0 victory against Senegal.
In 2018, thieves also targeted his home in Goostrey, Cheshire. However, on that occasion, the alarm system activated, prompting the intruders to flee.
Police have not released further details about the most recent break-in.
