Reading FC make two new signings on the eve of deadline day
The Royals have now signed six players in the summer window
Reading have made two more signings bringing the total number of new players to six for the summer transfer window.
Last night former England international midfield Danny Drinkwater joined on a year's loan from Chelsea, while former Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann has signed on a year's deal.
Scott Dann
With nearly 250 Premier League appearances to his name, the 34-year-old centre-back’s contract expired at Crystal Palace this summer.
Royals boss Veljko Paunovic said, “Scott will play a crucial part in helping us keep clean sheets and win football matches. A natural leader, Scott will be another important cog in the first team machine we are trying to construct.”
Danny Drinkwater
A Championship and Premier League title-winner with Leicester City and an England international under Roy Hodgson.
“Danny’s talent and ability is unquestionable and to bring a player of his calibre to our club is extremely exciting,“ Pauno said. “A proven winner, he is a player whose achievements on the pitch can inspire those around him and help to drive this club forward from the centre of midfield. We are very pleased to welcome him to Reading.”
