Police appeal following robbery in Basingstoke

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a report of a robbery in Basingstoke.

Officers were called to a report that a woman had been approached by a man who asked for her handbag in an alleyway off Kings Furlong Drive at 9.15am on 10 September.

The woman gave the man her handbag, which was empty, and he fled the scene.

The man has been described as white and middle aged. He was wearing a dark hoodie and a hat.

Since this was reported to us, officers have been carrying out enquiries and would like witnesses to come forward.
