Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Reading.

At around 2.45pm on Friday August 8th, the victim, a man in his eighties, was walking over the Oxford Road bridge when he was approached by two men wearing balaclavas and riding a black E-scooter.

The two men tried to grab his bag, and in the process pulled the victim to the floor as he kept hold of his bag. Nothing was stolen.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Amber Spicer, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the interaction between the victim and offenders, or who may have any information that may assist this investigation to please contact Thames Valley Police.

“I would also ask anybody who was driving in the area and may have dash-cam, to please check this and get in touch if it has captured anything that may help us."
