Elderly pedestrian badly hurt in collision near Reading

The man in his seventies suffered multiple injuries - now Police are appealing for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision that happened in Arborfield.

At around 4.40pm on Sunday (5/9) a blue Ford Fiesta was involved in a collision with a pedestrian in Observer Way.

The pedestrian, a man in his seventies, suffered injuries to his leg, chest and head. He remains in hospital receiving treatment.

PC Brendan Austin, of the Joint Ops Roads Policing Unit, said:

“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.

“I’d also ask any motorists who have dash-cams and were in the local area around the time of this incident to please check any footage in case it has captured something that could assist the investigation.
