Pangbourne murder victim named

The 56-year-old woman was found near her home last week

Police have named the woman who was murdered in a west Berkshire village last week.

56-year-old Maya Bracken was found with a fatl stab wound near her home in Flowers Hill in Pangbourne.

Thirty minutes after she was found an 18-year-old man was hit by a train and killed at Pangbourne railway station.

Police say the incidents were linked.

Flowers Hill - known locally as 'millionaires row'

Thames valley Police said:

"Maya’s family has requested for their privacy to be respected at this extremely difficult time."
