Newbury Racecourse opens up for its 'pub in the paddock' again
The popular beer garden will open for five dates in Spring
Last updated 29th Mar 2021
Newbury racecourse is to open its pop-up beer garden this Spring.
Last summer the so-called 'pub in the paddock' hosted more than 3000 people as the racecourse attempted to come up with ideas to bring in some much needed income.
This year it'll open on five weekends ahead of the racecourse re-opening to visitors for racing in June.
Harriet Collins, Marketing Director for Newbury Racecourse said:
“We are delighted to be welcoming back our Pub in the Paddock for 2021 on selected dates. We were unsure how popular it would prove to be last summer, but it was fantastic to welcome Annual Members, many of our residents, regular racing customers as well as several first-time visitors to the racecourse and while we continue to adhere to social distancing measures and restrictions on any indoor hospitality, we thought it would be welcome to bring back the pub so that people can enjoy the abundance of outside space we have on offer as we get ready to welcome spectators back for the live action from June 10.”
