Ruben Selles confirmed as Reading FC manager
His appointment at the Royals was delayed by a wait for a work visa
Reading have confirmed the appointment of former Southampton manager Ruben Selles as their new boss.
The Spaniard took charge of Southampton in February after Nathan Jones' departure, having initially been appointed as Ralph Hasenhuttl's assistant, though he was unable to prevent their relegation from the Premier League.
Reading also suffered relegation last season, going down from the Championship.
His appointment at the Royals was delayed by a wait for a work visa but head of football operations Mark Bowen said: "It has taken longer than any of us wished or anticipated but it was imperative that we got the appointment of a new first team manager right. I'm so pleased Ruben can now take the reins."
