Murder investigation is launched: Two men who were arrested have been released on bail

Police are continuing to investigate the death of a man in Lower Earley just before the Easter Break.

At around 7.40pm on Thursday 31 March officers were called to an incident outside the BP petrol station in Chalfont Way in Lower Earley at Reading.

The victim, a 51-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment but later died.

A 25-year-old man from Wokingham and a 42-year-old man from Reading have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm and murder. Both men have been released on police bail.

Police are asking for anyone with any information to contact 101 or for anonymous information the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
