Motorcyclist seriously injured in Reading crash

Police appeal for dash cam footage

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Reading.

At around 5.30pm on Thursday (25/7), a black Honda Jazz and a black motorcycle were involved in the collision on Berkeley Avenue near the junction with Shaw Road.

A man in his forties sustained serious injuries and required hospital treatment, where he remains.

Investigating officer PC Ben Eastment, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said:

“I am appealing for witnesses following this collision in which a man was seriously injured.

“Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this difficult time.

“I am also asking anyone who may have been driving in the area and may have dash cam footage of the collision, or any footage leading up to the collision, to please come forward. You can upload dash cam footage to our online portal.

“Alternatively, please call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference 43240355133.”
