Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision in Reading

It happened in west Reading near Waitrose on Saturday afternoon

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was serious injured in a collision near to Waitrose in Tilehurst.

At around 3.20pm on Saturday (28/9), an Audi A4 and a Kawasaki motorbike were involved in a collision on Oxford Road at the junction with Weald Rise.

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his fifties, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains at this time.

Witnesses

Investigating officer PC Jamie Payne, of the Roads Policing Unit, said:

“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage that captured the incident, or the moments leading up to it, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
