Military children in Berkshire & north Hampshire are coming together to explore the unique challenges they face.

The charity Little Troopers is running a series of virtual workshops this week to encourage service children to feel proud of their identity.

300 children from schools in Wokingham, Windsor, Nether Wallop, Andover and Aldershot will take part.

Louise Fetigan the founder of Little Troopers said:

"Our Little Troopers at School project has been running for four years now and we were truly hoping that we could come and meet some of the teachers and children who have been using our resources. However, as with many things over the last year, we have had to make alternative plans. The new virtual programme has allowed us to host double the amount of workshops and open the experiences up to lots more military children."

The free two-hour live workshop will be delivered by an experienced team of facilitators using Little Troopers’ primary school resources incorporating storytelling, movement, group discussion and drama.

The activities are designed to encourage military children to feel proud of their identity as a forces child and to give schools the tools to help service children navigate any challenges they might face, either now or in the future.
