Reading Football Club say Michael Olise has completed a move to join Premier League side Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee.
Olise impressed during what was a breakthrough season for him at Reading last season – making 39 (+7) league appearances and scoring seven goals in total.
He won the EFL's Young Player of the Season award at the end of the 2020-21 campaign and was named in the Championship Team of the Year by both the EFL and the PFA.
Although the club won't say how much the fee was they say it was a record for the club and it's been widely reported Olise had an £8 million release clause in his contract.
The club said:
"Naturally his performance levels under Veljko Paunovic last season sparked a significant amount of transfer speculation and after a record transfer fee was accepted earlier this week, he will now join Patrick Vieira’s new-look Palace side ahead of the start of the 2021-22 Premier League campaign.
"Everyone at Reading Football Club would like to wish Michael the very best of luck at Selhurst Park and in his future career."
