A man has been seriously assaulted in Andover.

Hampshire Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident at around 11.30pm on Sunday 30 April, when he was attacked by an unknown person.

He was walking through an alleyway by Andover College at the time, and police say it is 'possible' that he was also assaulted by more than one offender.

The victim sustained serious injuries to his face and eye amounting to grievous bodily harm.

The force say they have conducted a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for any information that may assist in our investigation.

They say they would be especially keen to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage that could help.
