Man charged with abusing Berkshire care home resident

His alleged victim had a mental disorder

A man has been charged with sexually abusing an resident of a care home in Berkshire.

Muhammad Sohail Arshad, aged 37, of Oxford Road, Reading, was charged with Sexual activity with a mentally disordered female –penetration, contrary to sexual offences ACT 2003.

Police say the charge relates to an incident involving an elderly woman, who was resident at a care home in Berkshire.

Arshad appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (8/10). He was bailed by the court to appear at Reading Crown Court on 5 November.
