Bags of drugs and cash found during property search
A man from Thatcham has been jailed for drug offences.
Anthony Birmingham of Almond Drive in Thatcham pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine.
The 29-year-old was sentenced at the same hearing to 2 years and 8 months’ imprisonment.
He was arrested on 19 May this year in Almond Avenue in Newbury and was found in possession of multiple bags of class A drugs and a quantity of cash. Further searches at a property found further bags of drugs, scales and more cash.

Investigating officer PC Joe Gawronski based at Newbury police station, said: “Some people try to glamorise the use and supply of drugs and do not realise the exploitation and criminality behind it.
“Often it can be the most vulnerable in our communities who suffer.
“Birmingham is facing the consequences of being involved in drugs supply and will now spend time in prison.
“Thames Valley Police will actively seek out to find those involved in drug crime and will bring them to justice through the courts.
