Investigations are continuing after a man was found stabbed in Reading over the weekend.

Police say they were called to reports of a stabbing at the junction of Brayford Road and Lulworth Road at 3.50am on Sunday 7th November.

The victim in his 30s had been found by members of the public who then rang emergency services.

He remains in hospital in a serious condition.

A 33 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Maggie Bruce, of Reading CID, said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation into a man who has been stabbed.

“I would appeal to anyone or saw or heard anything in the vicinity of Brayford Road and Lulworth Road last night or in the early hours of today, to contact the police.

“If anyone has any footage, whether dashcam, doorbell camera, CCTV or mobile phone, from the area then also please come forward.

“You can contact Thames Valley Police on our website or call 101, quoting investigation reference number 43210502930.
