O'Neal Joseph fatally stabbed 24-year-old Yannick Cupido following a row over text

A man has been found guilty of murdering a 24-year-old man in the early hours of Valentine's Day in Reading.

On Tuesday (23 November) at Reading Crown Court, 28 year old O’Neal Joseph, of Amersham Road, Caversham was found guilty by unanimous verdict of one count of murder.

22 year old Reece Weatherburn of Nire Road, Caversham was also convicted of two counts of assisting an offender at the same hearing.

On 14 February this year, Joseph was involved in an altercation with Yannick Cupido outside a shop in Nire Road.

This was where Yannick Cupido and O'Neal Joseph clashed, with Joseph stabbing Yannick who then staggered along an alleyway nearby and collapsed

Yannick was stabbed and staggered along an alleyway into Managua Close where he collapsed and died.

Joseph and Weatherburn have both been remanded in custody to appear at the same court for sentencing on Wednesday (24 November).
