Man bitten in parking row near Reading

A man ha been bitten in a row over parking in Spencers Wood near Reading.

At around 2.20pm on Friday (12/7), the victim, a man in his thirties, parked outside a pharmacy on Basingstoke Road and accidentally blocked in a white Ford Transit van.

The van driver, a white man, came into the pharmacy and told the victim to move his car.

The victim was willing to move his car but the offender became very aggressive and tried to stop the victim from getting into his car. The offender shouted at the victim and then bit the back of his head before members of the public intervened.

The victim sustained scratches to his forehead and bite wounds to his head but did not require hospital treatment.

Assault

Police staff investigator Rebecca Concannon said:

“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this assault, or anyone with information about what happened, to please come forward.

“We are aware that members of the public pulled the offender off the victim and we are also appealing for these people to please contact the force.
