A man has been arrested after a burglary at a garden centre in Tadley.

Police were called just after 9pm on Wednesday night, after two men were seen breaking into the Greenacres garden centre on the Aldermaston Road.

Several tubs of paint were stolen but have been recovered.

Ministry of Defence Police from the nearby AWE were first on scene and arrested a 27-year-old man from Wokingham. He remains in custody at this time.

Enquiries are ongoing to trace the second suspect.

Officers investigating would like to hear from anyone who has any information on the 101 phone number with reference 44210215218.

Hampshire Police said "We would like to thank the officers from Ministry of Defence for their great work in making the arrest, and assisting us in our response to this report."
