Reports: Lexicon shopping centre in Bracknell up for sale
National newspaper claims owners want £150m

The future of the Lexicon is being ‘discussed’ as Bracknell’s shopping centre is reportedly being put up for sale.
It first opened as part of Bracknell Forest Council’s regeneration of the town centre in 2017, and has since become a prime destination in the Thames Valley.
The centre’s owners, Shroders and L&G, have appointed property agents from JLL to handle the sale, which will begin this week, The Times reports.
The newspaper claims owners are understoood to be hoping to earn £150 million for the shopping centre.
Chief Executive of the council Susan Halliwell told the Local Democracy Reporting Service: “The council is aware that discussions are ongoning regarding the ownership and sale of the Lexicon.
“We are committed to working with any commercial partner for the benefit and success of our town centre.”
The Bracknell Regeneration Partnership said: “The Lexicon is one of the best performing retail destinations in the region attracting visitors from across the Thames Valley and beyond, keen to explore our range of leading international and local brands.”
The £420 million investement into the regeneration of the town centre resulted in 16 million visitors in 2018.
Bracknell Forest Council said due to the commercial decision from the owners, it was unable to comment any further.
The Bracknell Regeneration Partnership said it was unable to comment on any market speculation.
