The Lexicon shopping centre in Bracknell has announced the seven organisations that will benefit from the latest round of awards from The Lexicon Charity Fund.

A total of £26,920 was shared between local community groups, PTAs and charities, all of whose services will benefit people living in Bracknell Forest.

Worthy

Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon says:

“We received so many worthy applications in this latest round of funding and the judges had an extremely hard time narrowing down the worthy causes to a final seven.

“We look forward to sharing with you how the money has been used by each group over the coming year.

“A big thank you to everyone that contributed to the Fund by participating in activities such as riding The Lexicon Express, joining our Seedling Sprites craft workshops and purchasing our honey.”

The Lexicon Charity fund is managed in conjunction with Berkshire Community Foundation Charity Number: 1155173, an independent charity that connects local people with local causes and projects.

Wonderful

Jon Yates, chief executive at Berkshire Community Foundation says:

“We are delighted to be supporting the Lexicon Charity Fund once again and through it the wonderful groups that have been selected for funding.

“Our role is to connect people who care with causes that matter and this fund, generated as it is from the people of Bracknell, is a great example of this. I look forward to hearing how the work of these groups benefits from the fund and I wish The Lexicon a very happy seventh birthday.”
