Reading Festival rape: CCTV image released

The alleged incident happened on the last night of the festival

Police have issued an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a serious sexual assault at the Reading Festival.

The victim was raped in her tent sometime between midnight and 2:45am on Sunday the 27th of August.

Officers say they want to hear from the man, anyone who knows him, or any witnesses who were at the festival.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Natasha Black said:

“I am releasing this CCTV image of a male that could have vital information about the offence.

“If you are the male or know who he is, please contact the force as soon as possible.

“We would also like to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information about the offence.
