Man exposes himself to teenage girl in Newbury

Police describe the incident as 'distressing'

Police are appealing for witnesses after reports of an indecent exposure in Newbury.

The incident occurred around 9.40pm on Friday 21 July on the footpath between Manor Lane and Lambert Drive.

The victim, a girl in her teens, was walking along the footpath when she saw a man exposing himself. He did not speak to the victim.

The offender is described as a white man around 6ft tall with a brown beard and bushy eyebrows. He had a skinny build and is thought to be in his late twenties. He wore black clothes with a black hooded top with the hood up.

Investigating officer, PC Alyssa Weymouth based at Newbury Police Station, said:

“We would like to appeal to anybody who may have witnessed this distressing incident to please get in touch.

“We would also like to appeal to those residents in the surrounding areas to check CCTV and door cam footage.
