The manager of Hungerford town football club Danny Robinson says he considered refusing to let his team play the second-half of a recent match after one of his players was racially abused.

The alleged incident happened on Easter Monday at Merthyr Town - both Hungerford and Merthyr have issued statements condemning racist abuse.

Danny Robinson said after the game he should have been 'stronger' and refused to play the second half.

Merthyr say they want to address and resolve the situation as soon as possible and are seeking legal advice to ensure a robust process is followed.
