Police ask for help to trace 'hit and run' driver near Reading

Police are appealing for information after a hit and run incident in Woodcote near Reading.

At 12.03pm on Monday (17/01), a collision took place between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Oxford Road, near to the junction of Tidmore Lane.

The pedestrian, a boy aged in his teens, sustained minor injuries.

The vehicle described as a white or silver van failed to stop following the collision.

Investigating officer PC Tim Cameron, of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing said:

“I am appealing for witnesses to this incident whereby a pedestrian has sustained minor injuries after this collision.

“I would ask that anyone who was in or near the area in which this collision took place, to get in touch with us if you saw anything or have any information on it.

“Also, if any motorists in the area that have dash cam could please check as to whether anything significant was caught, as it could help our investigation.
