Police seek driver in Henley hit and run incident
An elderly pedestrian was injured on Sunday
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision in which a driver failed to stop in Henley-on-Thames.
At around 12.15pm on Sunday (27/2) a silver Mercedes SLK 200 AMG Sport was involved in a collision with a man in Market Place car park, on Grey’s Road.
The driver of the Mercedes did not stop.
The victim, a man in his seventies, sustained grazing to his hip and required hospital treatment.
He has since been discharged.
Investigating officer, PC Curtis Emery, based at Abingdon police station, said:
“This occurred in the middle of the day and we are confident that this has been witnessed.
“We are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, and for anyone with video footage to make themselves known.
“It has come to our attention that somebody may have filmed this on their phone, and we would urge them to come forward and provide us with this evidence.
“If you were in the area of the carpark around this time, please check any dash-cam footage which could provide us assistance in this investigation.
