Hampshire Police have encouraged people to be "cautious and respectful" as coronavirus restrictions come to an end.
In a statement, Assistant Chief Constable Maggie Blyth said: "Whilst coronavirus laws have ceased, our collective effort to comply with the health guidance remains paramount".
She added: "We must acknowledge that some people in our communities may be afraid of closer contact with others as infections rates rise".
Hampshire Police say they will continue to follow health and safety legislation, will continue to wear masks where social distancing is not possible and will undertake regular testing.
“We will be doing this to keep you safe", the Assistant Chief Constable said.
What are the changes to Coronavirus restrictions?
All remaining legal Coronavirus restrictions have been lifted.
This means there is no limit on people gathering indoors or in outdoor spaces.
Theatres, nightclubs and other entertainment venues can also reopen without social distancing.
The Assistant Chief Constable hailed today as a "milestone we have all been looking forward to for many months".
She also thanked residents for supporting Hampshire Police through "an unprecedented time in all our lives".
She added: "We will continue to work hard in what remains challenging circumstances over the usual busy summer period, which we have prepared and planned for".
