A Hampshire police officer is to stand trial accused of sexual offences, including rape and voyeurism.

Sergeant Richard Heard, 43, is charged with three counts of rape and three of voyeurism, as well as one of controlling or coercive behaviour, one of assault by beating and one count of perverting the course of justice.

All are said to have involved the same victim while the accused was off duty between January 2022 and August 2023.

The 43 year old is also accused of malicious communications against a second alleged victim, said to have taken place in June 2023.

The trial will begin at Bournemouth Crown Court on July 15.

Heard is currently suspended from duty.
