Nearly half of Berkshire's population has now had at least one covid jab
Latest figures give analysis on take up rates across the county

The latest NHS figures show 426,003 people in Berkshire had received a jab by April 18.
That means around 46.5 per cent of the population has been vaccinated, as there are around 914,859 people living in the county, according to the latest Office for National Statistics (ONS) estimate.
The figures show 81,451 people in Windsor and Maidenhead have received a jab – that’s 53.7 per cent of the population.
Another 80,530 have been vaccinated in West Berkshire, which equates to 50.8 per cent of the population.
In Wokingham, the uptake is 48.4 per cent as 82,848 have had at least one jab.
According to the figures, 57,971 have been vaccinated in Bracknell Forest – that’s around 47.3 per cent of the population.
Another 64,979 have taken the jab in Reading, so the uptake is 40.1 per cent.
Slough has recorded the lowest uptake, as 58,224 have been vaccinated – that’s 38.9 per cent of the population.
During the pandemic, 56,483 people in Berkshire have tested positive for Covid-19 and 1,756 of them have died.
Slough, which has the lowest vaccine uptake, has recorded the highest number of confirmed cases (15,470) and the highest death toll (340) so far.
According to the latest government figures, 33.6 million people in the UK have received one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine and 12.5 million have had two.
The NHS is now inviting 44-year-olds to have a jab, as two thirds of the previous age group – 45 to 49-year-olds – have received their first dose.
