Sexual assault in Bracknell

A teenage girl was assaulted in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a sexual assault in Bracknell.

The incident took place at around ten past three at the Running Horse roundabout on Sunday morning.

Two teenage girls were walking along a foot and cycle path near the Bracknell Health Space.

One of the girls fell over and they were approached by an unknown man. He attempted to pick up the fallen girl off the ground. He then pushed the other girl against the bushes on the footpath and sexually assaulted her.

The man is described as white, between 20 and 30 years old, around 5ft 6, light stubble. He was wearing a dark blue England football and a dark coloured cap backwards.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Stuart Streeter, said: “This was a distressing incident for the 17-year-old victim and we are providing ongoing support to them."

“We are ensuring that we have an enhanced police presence within the area with extra uniformed patrols and a number of detectives conducting enquiries."

“We are carrying out a robust investigation in order to locate the offender following this incident and are appealing for anyone with any information to please contact the force."
