73 year old cyclist injured in Reading collision

The man suffered a broken pelvis and injuries to his arm

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision which resulted in a 73-year-old man being seriously injured.

The incident happened at the roundabout at Oxford Road and Overdown Road in Tilehurst at about 12.20pm on Thursday.

A blue Kia Sorento collided with a cyclist who suffered a broken pelvis and injuries to his arm. He was taken to hospital for treatment where he currently remains.

Police have made no arrests.

Investigating officer PC Matt Bowden said: “I’d like to appeal to anyone who saw this incident, or who may have seen the cyclist on the Oxford Road before entering the roundabout.

“If you have any information or dash cam footage which you think could help us, please call 101, quoting reference number 43240341304.”
