Police appeal for witnesses after 'unprovoked attack'
Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Maidenhead.
Shortly after 10pm on Tuesday (29/8), an offender hit a woman in her forties in the face with a glass in an unprovoked attack outside The Bear public house in High Street.
The offender then pushed the victim to the floor, pulling her hair and ripping some of it out. The offender then walked away.
The victim suffered large cuts to her lip and cheek and was taken to Wexham Park Hospital for treatment. She has since been discharged.
A 35-year-old woman from Slough was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent yesterday (30/8). She has been released on police bail.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Lisa Rutherford, of Maidenhead CID, said:
“I am appealing for anyone who saw this unprovoked attack in a busy area of Maidenhead to please come forward.
