The Incident
At around 8.50pm on 2 October 2022, police received reports that a male had been seriously injured in Waterman Court, Cippenham.
Officers attended the scene where it was established that Kyron, a 21-year-old man, had been in a collision on his bicycle with a car in Earls Lane.
After the collision, Almallah and three other men, Khalid Nur, Mohammed Elgamri and Yaqhub Mussa exited the car and chased Kyron into Waterman Court where he was fatally attacked. The men then left the scene in the car, which Fras Seedahmed was driving.
Paramedics from the South Central Ambulance Service also attended, but tragically, Kyron was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 9.45pm.
Abdulle was involved in the preparation for the attack and was with the group shortly beforehand.
He fled the UK to the Netherlands after the attack and was extradited back to the UK in January 2023.
Gaafar and Visaho provided accommodation to Seedahmed and Elgamri and helped them evade arrest when police attended their accommodation to arrest them in relation to the murder.
Almallah assisted his brother Ilias by paying for a flight to Madrid soon after the murder and then accompanying him to Spain in order to ensure he evaded police.
Conclusion
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Mike Roddy, said:
“The sentencing of these five men brings conclusion to the case following the death of Kyron Lee in Slough in 2022.
“I know that no sentence will serve as complete solace for Kyron’s family, but I hope that the fact the case has now concluded and eleven men have been brought to justice and between them will serve very lengthy prison terms offers some closure for them.
“I hope this sentence sends a clear message to anyone to those considering aiding others who have committed crime that they will be caught and brought in front of the court.”
