Five football supporters arrested after Reading game

They include three from Bristol

Police have made five arrests for various offences at the match between Reading FC and Bristol Rovers FC at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in Reading on Tuesday (7/11).

A 26-year-old man from Bristol was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order. This was in relation to racist abuse being shouted at the players during the match.

A 15-year-old boy and a 30-year-old man, both from Bristol, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a flare. These were in relation to flares being lit and thrown into the crowd.

A 31-year-old man from Bristol was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a flare. This was in relation to an offender being found in possession of a flare while leaving the stadium.

A 19-year-old man from Newbury was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. This is in relation to an incident at the Reading FC vs Swindon Town FC match at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on 10 October.

The men have all been released on police bail and the boy received a community resolution.
