Man charged with firearms offence in Bracknell

It follows an incident in Jock's lane last Thursday evening

As part of a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been charged in relation to a firearm incident in Bracknell.

Lee Guyett, aged 40, from Easthampstead, Bracknell, was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence yesterday (22/7).

This charge is in relation to a man in his thirties being threatened with a firearm in Jock’s Lane at around 8.45pm on Thursday (20/7). No one was injured.

Guyett has also been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence. This is in relation to comments made to officers.

Guyett was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (24/7).

A 45-year-old man from Datchet, who was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence on Thursday, has been released on bail until 20 October.
