Fight in Newbury leaves man injured

Police are calling for witnesses after a fight in Newbury left a man with minor cuts and bruising.

The fight broke out between four men at Greenham Lock Marina, just east of Newbury town centre, at around 5pm last Wednesday (9th June).

The injured man did not need hospital treatment.

Thames Valley Police have issued descriptions of the four men involved. The first man is described as white, in his late twenties, with short red hair and of medium build.

Another man is described as white, in his mid-to-late twenties with a medium build and brown floppy hair.

The third man was taller than the others, and has been described as white with black hair.

The fourth man is described as black with short black hair, wearing a black t-shirt. He was seen running away along the canal path towards Thatcham.

Investigating officer PC Ameeta Dhanoa from Newbury police station said: “I am appealing for any witnesses of this incident, or anyone who has any information, to please get in touch.
