Family pay tribute to Reading murder victim
They describe David Allen as their 'hero'.
The family of a man murdered in Reading last week has issued a tribute.
77-year-old David Allen was found at his home in Elgar Road last Wednesday - he'd died from a stab wound to the chest.
His family said:
"Our Dad, Grandad, Brother and Hero was tragically taken away from us too soon.
"Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.
"Thank you for all the lovely support from all our family and friends.

A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday last week.
