At 7.17pm we were called to the A3057, Winchester Road, where the incident took place.

A three-wheeled black Yamaha motorcycle was travelling north along Winchester Road towards Andover when it left the carriageway between Norman Court Lane and the A303 after exiting a right-hand bend.

The driver, Robert Gregory, 67, from Maccallum Road, Enham Alamein, died at the scene.

Paying tribute to him, his next of kin said:

“We are absolutely devastated that we have lost our beloved Robby, fondly known as Robby One Leg or Robohop.

“Robby was a well-known figure who was adored by all.

“He would always be happy to help anyone or lend a hand. He loved his motorsport and competed in many races and competitions over the years.

“He also loved his trikes and bike club. He definitely lived life to the full and will be missed terribly by all his family especially his children and grandkids.

“His daughter, family and partner would like to say thanks for the support and condolences.”
