London man jailed for dealing drugs in Reading
He was caught with 33 wraps of heroin and cocaine in his possession
A man from London has been jailed for drug offences in Reading.
Leandro Silva, aged 22, of London Road, Bromley, London, was sentenced to two years and six months’ imprisonment at Reading Crown Court.
Silva pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing on 11 August to two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine and heroin, and one count of possession of criminal property.
Silva was also ordered to forfeit his mountain bike and cash and a destruction order was made for the drugs and phone.
On 10 August at around 4.50pm, Silva was seen by police cycling away from a group of drug users on Francis Street. He was detained on Elgar Road for a section 23 search under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Silva was found to be in possession of 33 wraps of class A drugs, namely cocaine and heroin, a mobile phone and a quantity of cash.
Silva was arrested the same day and was charged on 11 August.
