Driver killed in crash on M3 near Hook

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal crash on the M3 near Hook last night (17 June).

Officers were called at around 8:20pm to a report of a single-vehicle collision on the southbound side of the motorway at junction 5.

A vehicle had left the carriageway, and the driver - a man in his 30s from Basingstoke - was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the incident or who has dash cam footage to contact them on 101, quoting reference 44210238553.
