Reading football Club is to play host to a drive-in cinema in the summer.

One of the club's car parking areas will be used for a week in June to show movies on a 50 metre LED screen.

Madejski Stadium has been restricted to behind closed doors football for virtually the whole of our 2020-21 campaign. But during the pandemic, it has found a few other roles to perform.

A hub from which to deliver food packages to those in need via our Community Trust, a testing site for those needing to check their COVID symptoms and most recently a vaccination centre open to the local community to help the country overcome this virus.

And now, for one week only, it will open up for a drive-in cinema in June.

The club has teamed up with Flix Drive In to bring fans and the local community a drive-in cinema between Tuesday 1st June and Sunday 6th June.

Six new release movies will be shown on a 50 metre LED screen.

The drive-in cinema will also offer street food and high-quality sound through car radios.
