Man charged in connection with fatal collision in Reading

Incident happened in May last year

A man has been charged with one count of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by driving while disqualified following an incident in Reading.

Aaron Clare, aged 33, of no fixed abode, was charged via a postal requisition on 20 August.

The charges are in connection with an incident on 23 May last year when a blue BMW which had failed to stop for police, was in collision with a pedestrian, Kevin Burgess, who was aged 41 at the time.

Clare will appear before Reading Magistrates’ Court on 22 September.

Mr Burgess’s next of kin continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
