Three arrested over dangerous driving in west Berkshire park

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of dangerous driving in Newbury.

Between 6.40pm and 6.50pm yesterday (2/4) a silver Hyundai i20 was stolen from Skylings and then driven onto Victoria Park before being abandoned.

A 21-year-old man from Reading and a 19-year-old man from Bracknell have been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.

A 17-year-old girl, of no fixed abode, has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.

They remain in police custody.

Investigating officer, PC Grant Summersbee, based at Newbury police station, said:

“We are appealing to anyone who may have information about what happened to please come forward.

“We’d also ask any motorists with dash-cams who were in the local area around the time of this incident to please check any footage in case it may have captured something that could assist with this investigation.
