Cyclist seriously injured in Newbury collision

Police appealing for witnesses

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious injury collision in Newbury.

At around 12.10pm on Sunday (5/5) a blue Volkswagen Touran collided with a cyclist on the roundabout by Waitrose, at the junction of the A4, Western Avenue.

The cyclist suffered a broken leg which required hospital treatment, but have since been discharged.

Dash-cam

Investigating officer PC Tom Dickinson, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said:

“We are appealing for witnesses following this collision.

“We are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward as well as anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the incident.
