Motorcyclist injured in collision near Thatcham

Incident happened on Monday evening on the A4 at Midgham

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision happened in Midgham.

At around 6.40pm on Monday (16/8) the victim, a man aged in his twenties, was on a motorbike travelling westbound along the A4 Bath Road at Midgham, near the Coach and Horses pub when a car collided with the motorbike.

The victim sustained multiple fractures and was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains. The driver of the car did not sustain any injuries.

The car is described as a silver Landrover Freelander.

Investigating officer, PC Gareth Miles, of Road Policing based at Three Mile Cross police station, said:

“I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident, or anyone who was in the area and may have dash-cam footage, to please come forward.
