Witness appeal after two-car collision in Basingstoke

A man has been arrested for drink-driving

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Basingstoke on Saturday.

At 6.05pm, a blue Audi collided with a silver Toyota Hilux on the Cliddesden Lane roundabout at the junction with Woods Lane.

The driver of the Audi, a man in his 20s, sustained serious injuries.

The driver of the Toyota, a 43-year-old man, was arrested for drink driving and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police are appealing for witnesses and urge anyone with information to contact them.
