77-year-old man charged over alleged offences in Bracknell 36 years ago

He was arrested after an investigation by the Thames Valley Police cold case team

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police’s Cold Case Team, a man has been charged with the kidnap, child abduction and indecent assault of girl in Bracknell in 1986.

Robert Frid, aged 77, of no fixed abode, appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court today (19/10).

During today’s hearing, Frid was charged with one count of child abduction, one count of kidnap and one count of indecent assault.

The alleged offences took place in Bracknell in September 1986 and the victim was a three-year-old girl.

Frid was remanded in custody, and is due to appear before Reading Crown Court on 21 November.
