The Children’s Business Fair returns to Reading this weekend - a family-friendly event taking place on Saturday, 5th July 2025 on Broad Street.

Following the success of last November’s inaugural event, this open-air marketplace returns, for 2025- with more than 40 stalls run entirely by young entrepreneurs aged 7 to 17. Supported by Reading’s Business Improvement District (BID).

From handmade crafts and delicious bakes to original artwork and innovative inventions, every product is created, marketed, and sold by the children themselves. It’s a celebration of creativity, courage, and community - and admission is completely free, making it the perfect day out for families, shoppers, and anyone who loves discovering something unique while supporting local talent.

Inspiring

“Last year’s fair was an incredible success, bringing energy and entrepreneurial spirit to the town centre,” says Alexa Volker, Reading BID Manager. “We’re proud to support this initiative again. It’s so important to give young people the space to explore their ideas, build confidence, and experience the realities of running a business. The passion and professionalism they bring is truly inspiring.”

Organised by Children’s Business Fair UK (CBFUK), the event is part of a growing national movement that since 2018 has helped thousands of young people build essential life skills through entrepreneurship.

The Children’s Business Fair takes place on Broad Street on Saturday 5 July, 10am-4pm.
