Police are releasing CCTV images of two men officers would like to speak to in connection with a robbery that occurred in Lambourn.

At around 10.15am on Thursday 3 December 2020, a 26 year-old woman working at Ladbrokes in Lambourn was approached and threatened by two offenders.

They demanded she hand over money from the store’s tills and the safe. One of them was carrying a suspected firearm.

The two men then took an unspecified amount of money from the till and continued to threaten the victim not to press the store’s panic button.

In spite of the threats from the offenders, the victim pressed the panic button which caused them to flee the store. They cycled away on mountain bikes.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Petar Stoyanov, of the CID team based at Newbury police station said:

“We are releasing CCTV images of two men we believe have information that could help this investigation.

“The woman who was the victim in this situation showed incredible bravery in the face of a highly threatening environment.

“Her actions prevented the offenders continuing with the robbery.

“If you recognise the men in the images, or you are one of them, please call us on 101 and quote reference number 43200406661 or make a report online.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or via their website.”
